Kelly Smith oliver had a photo shoot yesterday then daniel and I had a great date night downtown.... gym and work today and looking foward tonight and being off again tomorrow. happy girl! :)

Get Dada

Daniel went out of town this weekend to go to gambling in Tunica, MS. with the guys. On Sunday night i think Oliver had enough. I picked him up when i got off work and was changing his diaper and he started pronouncing the D sound and pairing it with an A sound.... and he said it twice in a row.. so yep... he said DADA!! i started calling daniel in a panic.. recording it on my phone and sending him the voice note and then recording it on the video camera. Then on Monday, my mom called me and said that Oliver was saying something that sounded like "get" all day... I think this is hilarious... he was trying to tell us to "get dada"... lol.. i guess he had enough of momma/ ollie quality time! We did "get dada" late Monday night so hopefully Oliver has learned when he wants something he just needs to ask for it. lol

Im soo soo excited... and so is Daniel... were are just so estatic that he is starting to make letter sounds to one day communicate with us and the world. OMG.. these little milestones are such big deals in our eyes as parents.

He also has begun actually crawling a little bit and not just doing the military crawl. He seems to now have the arm strength to hold his weight. That started this morning in the bathroom while daniel was getting ready for work.

8 months is going to be busy!!! im so excited

Kelly Smith hilarious!!! ....yesterday Oliver said "Da-Da" for the first time!! today he is saying something that sounds like "get"... Daniel has been out of town since friday.... Do you think Oliver is trying to tell me something.. lol :) i LOVE my son!!

8 months

Oliver is.....

teething!! poor guy

beginning to become a mamas boy

always hungry

can feed himself with his entire hand

looking more and more like his daddy and daddy finally noticed

sleeps alot more

is army crawling everywhere and fast too

wants to walk holding our hands everywhere and all day long

loves kissing himself in the mirror

has a very regular digestion system

can pull up in his crib (but thankfully doesnt)

laughs so hard that he gets the hiccups

has already had a injury with blood (at shaun's house he fell and a water bottle cut his upper gum)

breathes short heavy breaths everytime he gets excited... he also makes an "o" with his lips when hes curious

is growing fustrated with the rear facing car seat.. he has figured out that he is missing what is going on in the front and is nearly breaking his neck to turn around

is wearing 6-9 month clothes and has almost outgrown his 6 month Polo stuff which breaks my heart.. i remember buying that when i was pregnant.

can find the smallest speck of dirt, crawl to it, pick it up and eat it

is more patient at the high chair during feeding time

must eat when you are eating and must eat WHAT you are eating... im impressed with the small bites of any kind of food i can break off for him

still spits up occasionally and ONLY on his mama

says hey but i dont know if he is actually saying hey or not

loves the pool and didnt scream when i dunked him a few times

waves occasionally but i dont think he is actually waving.... ?

is the coolest! :)

What's going on with US (not Oliver related)

Daniel, Paul, Pauly and Nick are in Tunica, Mississppi this weekend having a fun little guys trip. I am excited for Daniel to get a break from work.. He has been having such a stressful summer at work. This summer the temps have been so high and the rain so sparse that it is killing the greens. Which fustrates members which then complain to Daniel.. Poor thing doesnt handle complaints well... He loves being positive and complaints dont fall in the positive catergory. So hopefully this will be a good break for him. He has really bad luck at casino's so I dont expect him to come home with any winnings.. sadly!

I have been busy at work too.... Things should begin to show down now but this month has been hetic. Between my work, Oliver's photo shoots, and Daniel being busy at work I have been going going going.... I also re joined LA Fitness and have been going to 4 fitness classes a week for the past 2 weeks. I love that I am back in spin class... Even if I dont loose a pound or strength a muscle it is 2 hours a week that I am enjoying something totally for me. I also do a bodyworks class twice a week as well. Other than that I have been trying to find time to catch up one on one with my girlfriends. And then we hosted a party last weekend which keeps me busy days prior and after.

We also have exciting plans for the next couple of weeks. Next Friday night we are going on a date to the Fox theatre. They do a summer movie special and are showing the movie Caddyshack. It will be a fun night.. Daniel will get to see one of his all time favorite movies at the Fox and ill get a date in ATL.

Daniel and I are also planning a fall trip.. Its kind of cool cause we can go anyplace... It has been a long time since we could just go anywhere. Im super excited to find someplace new to go.

Little Nothings

When I started at my current company I was pretty much the manager of the Kids' Klub and I still am, although my current title includes much more. Well now I have rejoined LA Fitness and Oliver goes to the Kids Klub when I workout. I dont know why I find this soo intriguing but i do. It's so cute to see him in there playing with other kids. This morning when i dropped him off he was screaming (excited screams) and smiling at the Kids' Klub lady.. it was like he remembered this fun place. He even had the same outfit on as another little boy. I know these are all very TYPICAL kid things but i think thats what amazes me..... I have a kid and I am experiencing typical kid stuff with him!! WOW is all I can say. And what is even cooler is I was, is, that Kids Klub lady who loves when a kid comes in excited.. so stinking cool!

I have another typical type story that happened the other day. Oliver and I FINALLY got a chance to hang out with Elizabeth, Haley and Cooper. We went swimming at Elizabeth's pool and Haley was talking to another little girl and telling that girl that she was here with her mom and pointed to us and that was her brother and her brothers friend Oliver...... haha... her brothers friend is Ollie... lol.. I know I refer to them as that but to little Haley at 3 years old she really sees Cooper and Oliver as friends..

These little nothings just make me so happy!!
