From the PLane

Blog entry - so this is the moment I have literally been dreaming about, imagining and replaying over and over in mind for months and months.... I feel as if it is my equivalent to what a guys feels like when he pulls off the perfect proposal.


Keeping a secret, especially from Daniel is probably the hardest task I have ever endured in my love life. I consider myself an open book to everyone... I'm not easily embarassed of my feelings, I love to share my excitements and tribulations with pretty much any audience I can find.... (People say that Oliver is extremely well spoken for his age and I usually chalk it up to school and stuff while secretly high fiving myself for talking that kids ear off.) So having one of the most exciting ideas and plots of my life off limits to my best friend has been heart wrenching.... But its here... I am typing from the plane.. next to vegetable lasanga, who I caught reading my glamour magazine of course while I was on the page with the picture of the ruler and hot dog asking if men measure their member!

Although there is still one surprise left tonight when Robert and Kimberly arrive, my heart can now beat at normal rhytme and I have stopped shaking.

Telling Daniel on Saturday was a great idea.. it was fun to pack together, to get excited together, to hear stories of the 9,000 questions he asked Paul about where to gamble but the surprise on his face today was priceless and eternally burned into my memory.

Daniel has the best friends I have ever seen and I know that he loves them with every ounce of his heart. I am such a lucky girl to have married into this group and especially to this man and lucky enough for me... These guys have found girls that I LOVE and that I am eager to spend the next few days with.

And on a mommy note.. the surprise totally devertied my attention away from the fact that I just left my 5th limb hundreds and thousands of miles away.

Dirty 30!!

Daniel is about to change decades of his life.... And although in the grand scheme of life 30 is generally young, in the mind of a almost former 29 year old... it is not.

I am super excited for Daniel to turn 30, mostly cause i still have 11 months til I turn 30 and because I have the BIGGEST surprise EVER!!

I am soo incredibly scared to write about it on here but I cant stand not to discuss it 24/7 and since I cant discuss it at home, I am writing about it here.

We are going to VEGAS BABY!!!

We leave Tuesday morning and come back Friday night... In retrospect, I wish we were staying another night but i think this will be ok.. And plus, on Saturday night we have Daniels and Dooleys birthday party to go to. 

Everything has been booked since October.. can you imagine what it has been like to keep this from Daniel since October... The even better part is that Paul S, Vonee, Ben, Robert and Kimberly are all coming too!! And even last minute i found out that Jennifer and Todd are going to be there the same time we are.

This is going to be AMAZING!! :)

Hello old friend..

Its 2012... It is 2012.. I almost have to pinch myself to realize that it is 2012... and not only is it 2012 but it is 2 weeks into it.

and sadly i have only lost a pound for my resolution to lose 10 by the end of January... Yikes...

Lots of fun stuff is going on in the Smith house and hopefully i get to cover it all on here!
