Egg Hunt #1

Yesterday I took Oliver to the Easter Egg Hunt at his Gigi and G-pa's chruch. It was very cute... Not going to lie, it was chaotic, unorganized and unplanned through... but that is just my opinion as a professional event planner in which I host my own extravagant egg hunt next weekend. (lol)

We had a great time... Oliver thought all the eggs were balls.. so he would pick them up and through them instead of collecting.. he still managed to get about 5 and I'm sure mostly with G-pa's help. They sang some songs and had a bake sale that we got a yummy treat from and had a visit from the Easter Bunny..

Last year the Easter Bunny was freakishly scary.. lol.. I didn't go last year so I didn't actually see him in person but when Aunt Kathy, Elaine and Jerry gave me the picture of Oliver with the bunny I busted out laughing. (once i get this years pic I will post both and show a comparison) So this year I was anxious to see him in person... but they definitely got a new Bunny to come... haha... I wonder how many other people noticed how scary the old one was.. back to yesterday.... Oliver did not like the Easter Bunny... from a distance he was interested but when the bunny came close, Oliver shook his head "no" and even said "no"... the closer the bunny got the more head shakes and "no's" Oliver said and did.

After the Egg Hunt and Oliver flirted with a few of the ladies toddler girls and shoved an insane amount of candy in his mouth, we went and had lunch with daddy at Traditions. It was sooo nice getting to see him and I'm sure he was glad that we came (and brought Gigi and G-pa).

Next week I have my Easter Egg Hunt / Spring Fling at work so my mom is going to take Oliver to the one that Lake Lanier is hosting.. I'm anxious to hear how Oliver does there as well as get my mom to spy on some of their event ideas.. I wonder if my boss would allow me to go for research??!! jk :)

Little Stories

I'm exhausted so I want to be quick but i have some of the funniest Oliver stories from the day.

We had a blast with OUR "TWINS"... I say our twins cause today we FINALLY had a play date with Jenny and Mason. Mason is the other baby model that we met once over the summer. Jenny and I had an instant connection at the photo shoot and have kept in touch with facebook and blogger. I knew we were alot alike in the things we talk about on these two social media oulets but I was completely blown away today when we hung out!! I think Jenny said it best when she said that I am her only taller... love it!! We went to the "Imagine It" childrens museum in Atlanta and then for a shopping spree and lunch at Ikea! What a great day.. (i'm trying to be short so ill have to come back to the museum later)

Tonight Oliver and I went to the gym and on our way home, I was feeding him fruit snacks and when I handed him one (which is a half after some recent non dramatic chocking... do not buy kroger brand to try to save a buck, they are HUGE) he said Tu tu... he was saying thank you... then everyone I handed him, I would say, "say thank you" and he would reply "tu tu"... ahhh!! yay Oliver...  I dont know what else happened on the ride home, I suspect he was angry that I wasnt dancing.. but he kept holding his hand up as he does when he is saying "I dont know" (he does this like the international "i dont know" sign but only uses one hand) and he was using the other hand to point to me... with a confused look on his face, none the less.. haha... im pretty sure it was because I wasnt dancing cause I'm always dancing in the car!

Then we got home and went out to play with Georgia in the yard. I saw Oliver looking in her direction and he was doing two quick claps and then looking back at me... I initially thought he was clapping at Georgia for whatever but then he did it and looked backed at me and did the "I dont know" and I realized he is trying to call her... HAHA..

I know these are only stories that a mother... and father and grandparents....  could love but I honestly just wanted to write these down before I forget... these now memories brought the biggest smile to my face tonight!!
