Tricks

Oliver always has a few tricks up his sleeve, wheter or not he will show them off is another question.

If you say these commands, this is what he will do:

Touchdown - both arms up

Kisses - blows kisses

High Five - will give a high five

Bye Bye - waves

Aye Yii Yii (i have absolutely no idea how to spell this - put hands on head as in meaning "oh no"

How old are you? - holds up one finger

Shhh - puts one finger in mouth (instead of on it)

Throw it - will throw a ball

Wipe your mouth - takes napkin and pats mouth (inside and out)

and my favorite

Stop, Oliver no, no - he will stop what he is doing (this one is a trick he doesn't do too often)

His personal favorite trick he does on us is when he is going somewhere he isn't supposed to (dog bowls) he will turn around and crawl backwards... i think he is thinking that since he is facing us it looks like that's the direction we think he is going, like we don't know he is actually moving in the wrong direction.... sorry buddy, we still see u going backwards!

Kelly Smith is ready to head out shopping!! Super excited but will pay for it tomorrow.

365 and counting....

Yeah that's right.. the Smith's survived their first year! And what a year it was, but if your reading this you alreay know. No one warned me of the overwheliming nostagla i would feel on his birthday. But after tons of tears, construction of his slide, a cake boss marathon, glass of wine and yummy thanksgiving food... I got through it.

As for Oliver on his birthday it was business as usual. And total cuteness is his business. His actual birthday fell on Thanksgiving Day this year. Oliver and I enjoyed the morning at home with Grandma while Dad worked. Oliver just played and napped while I supervised in between the above activities. When Daniel got home we went over to Gigi and G-Paw's for a low key meal. We had a bigger thanksgiving meal the Saturday before when Daniels mimi and uncle were in town.

I can't believe the first year is over. I am so excited for the future but am just in awe of all we went through this first year. We took him this little bitty baby who was helpless and turned him into a semi independent almost toddler. CRAZY!!

Happy Birthday Oliver and Happy BIRTH day to me and dada, i guess.

Kelly Smith as happy as I am celebrating my sons 1st birthday and thanksgiving today..... something, rather someone seems to be missing more today than ever. I love u daddy and am so thankful for having such a great dad for 24 years. happy bday oliver. mommy loves u more than you'll ever know!

So blogging will have to wait but ill be back soon and will completely catch up.. Daniel and I are taking a stay cation when my mom has surgery and will be doing some HUGE (in my opinion huge) home repairs and remodeling. During that week of us being home I should have plenty of time to catch up on blogging.

Kelly Smith yep, I have the same status as all parents this am. Oliver of course wasn't interested in taking advantage of daylight savings BUT he did sleep mostly through the night last night which is HUGE in our house recently!

Back on the blogging horse

I have soo much blogging to catch up on... and i will probably put it in chronological order so this blog will make no sense when my book is printed... So therefore i should stop writing it and just catch up on those much needed blogs.

But i cant.. Daniel took my car today which has my planner in it where i have been scribbling down blogs that i need to write. Also i am at work so i dont have my computer to add photos.

So here i am writing about nothing...

Kelly Smith well.... I tried zumba for about 15 mins.... then the man from the front desk at the gym walks into class and says "who is kelly smith.... your baby has a fever"..... for the record. I hate teething!!!!

Kelly Smith is running on the treadmill at the gym and amazed of how different it is to run and be able to swing your arms. I normally run with oliver and the stroller. so crazy!
