So the real reason i started this blog last Wednesday is because we found out we are expecting!!!
I couldnt concentrate for longer than 5 seconds on anything that day so i was trying to keep busy. Daniel and I are thrilled... totally shocked but very thrilled... We have known for 5 days now and its still seeping in!! We really decided that we were ready in February so it didnt take long at all which is probably why we are so shocked.
Our baby is due on December 14th, which makes for very busy Decembers! We concieved on the 19th of March (of course the 19th... everything great happens on the 19th of the month for us).
I really dont know much else to say about it at this point... We are seriously confused on what to do next!! haha!! I went to the doctor on friday and he confirmed it, i am taking all the vitamins i need and eating healthy and exercising, we have told our families and my best friend... i bought a journal to keep everything documented... and just taking it one day at a time....
tonite i am going to lauras and she is going to give me her books so that will probably guide me in the right direction. Tomorrow me and daniel are going to discuss our plans for telling our friends... we are trying to wait but its kind of a HUGE elephant in the room with us and at any moment i feel like i am going to shout it out!! :)
As of right now i am feeling great!! i am so happy that i have an amazing husband and we both feel so incredibly close to each other right now! we have great support from our families and are excited by the upcoming addition to our family. the weirdest thing is .... i havent cried yet!! thats how i know im still in shock!!
one last thing i want to add in this post is 2 funny stories already!! first, the way i told daniel the news... first thing in the am when i took the test i told him as he was in a deep sleep, then i wanted to tell him in a cuter way so after the second test with a darker line i was cooking dinner and asked him if he could grab that last of it out of the oven while i took a (imaginary) phone call.... all that was in there was a hamburger bun... get it bun in the oven...when he turned around i was standing there with the second test shaking!!! it was soo awesome!! 2nd story, when i called the doctor to make an appointment to come in the lady asked what i needed to come in for and i said "i keep taking pregnancy tests and there are positive lines on them so i need to find out if i am pregnant" she of course laughed and told me i was... i was just concerned cause they were so light... haha!!
